the weekend girl

weekend

Alexander Wang crop top, €705 / theyskens' theory ankle length skirt, €265 / Unif high heel shoes, €200 / Proenza Schouler handbag, €1.210 / Prada sunglasses, €245

This outfit is for the girl who likes to take it to another level with her look.  A confession of mine is my extreme love for outrageous platformed shoes, & UNIF never disappoints!  This look is for taking a stroll through Venice Beach or meeting friends for coffee.  Comfortable with an edge.

My polyvore always equates everthing to Euros since I am abroad, but I'll try to find a way to change it to USD again.

summer hair fun

Summer is right around the corner, and I can't think of anything more fun to do than add a bit of brightness to your hair!  Summer means staying up til' dawn, spending a week at a music festival, or traveling.  What better way to liven your look than to add some temporary color to your hair.  I have been in love with the pastel hair trend as of late, but I haven't been willing to commit all the way.  Luckily, Free People has created a line of hair chalks that are completely washable yet still produce lively & fun colors!

Whether you want to try a subtle ombre or add layers of color-- these pastels are for you!

Monte Cassino

Monte Cassino was a tall, winding mountain that stretched up through the clouds to reveal the astonishing Abbey of Monte Cassino

We left early in the morning to reach Monte Cassino at the perfect moment.  As we were driving along winding roads, we began to peak through clouds of fog.  Wispy hues of blue and lavender were broken up by mountain peaks.  This was truly one of my more favorite experiences so far.  To refer to something as breathtaking usually seems cliche, but this experience literally took my breath away.

The Abbey of Monte Cassino was the founding location for the Benedictine Order, where St. Benedict lived and practiced his faith.  The Abbey was destroyed first my an earthquake and again by bombings.  Now it has been completely renovated with a beautiful church. It really was a special place.
