black friday weekend

Well, I did not make it out to the malls for shopping sales and madhouse crowds, but I did however wake up super early on Sunday for Solestruck's wonderful weekend sale.  Sunday-Monday, all sale items were marked 1/2 off.  After a few hours of frustration due to server overloads, my orders were placed & I blissfully headed home from visiting my family in Kentucky.  I landed the Jeffrey Campbell Skate & Detention.  So Excited!

Today I went to the ever so lovely Windy Corner Market with my Grandma & sister.  The drive felt like miles, but it was okay thanks to the beautiful Kentucky country side--rolling hills, barns, & horses.  When we arrived to the small market & eatery, it was packed-- always a great sign.  Honestly, the best part for me was that almost everything was made with local ingredients!  The freshness was amazing.  They also had Kentucky made items for sale throughout the shop.  I picked up a few handmade goodies for my love, which I know he'll enjoy.

If you're ever near the Lexington area of Kentucky, take a day off & go for a drive. You'll have a lovely time & this place is so worth it!
